Snowy Owl
   
The 2013 - 2014 winter will forever be known to birders as the Snowy Owl invasion.   The owls shown here were seen at Jones Beach on Dec 27, 2013. 
   
The opening photos show one of two owls we saw that day flying down the shoreline.  We stood at the rack line along the beach and there they were - a breathtaking view between us and the waves!  Unforgettable!
